After heavy rainfall a teenager found dead in Gombe
The Gombe State Police Command has confirmed the death of a teenage boy who was found lifeless in a gully at Hayin Kwarin Misau Quarters following heavy rainfall in the early hours of Monday.
According to the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Buhari Abdullahi, the distress call was received at about 6:30 am by the Officer-in-Charge of Hayin Kwari, Misau outstation, alerting authorities to the discovery of the boy's body in a gully erosion site.
Abdullahi said, "Our officers responded immediately and visited the scene. The preliminary assessment showed no signs of violence or injury on the deceased.
"We suspect he may have drowned due to the heavy downpour recorded the previous night."
