WHY do humans live longer than other mammals?

Live-long.jpg

Scientists may have just discovered a major key to the search for immortality by discovering that our lifespan is inextricably linked to the rate by which our cells undergo genetic mutations.

Although it is logical to assume that our probability of death increases as these mutations accumulate over time, such a hypothesis fails to account for an inconsistency known as the Peto paradox. If death depends on the accumulation of somatic mutations, then larger species with more cells should receive more mutations and therefore have shorter lifespans.

For example, the authors found that human cells undergo an average of 47 replacement mutations per year, giving us an average lifespan of 83.7 years.

How to get rid of muscle pain after a workout?

Muscle pain is caused by two factors: micro-tears, which cause poor circulation and the accumulation of metabolites.

To improve circulation, doctors recommend massage and heat. It is also not superfluous to wear compression knitwear to restore venous blood flow.

Drinking a moderate amount of coffee before exercise also improves venous blood flow, and cherry juice is useful after exercise because it contains antioxidants that reduce inflammation in the muscles.

Heat Stroke (Sun Stroke):-

Heat-stroke.jpg

Severe hyperthermia is defined as a body temperature of 104 F (40 C) or higher. The body normally generates heat as a result of metabolism, and is usually able to dissipate the heat by radiation of heat through the skin or by evaporation of sweat.

🟥 Complications :-
🔸Acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS).
🔹Brain swelling.
🔸Kidney failure.
🔹Liver failure.
🔸Metabolic dysfunction.
🔹Nerve damage.
🔸Reduced blood flow to the heart and other circulatory problems.

🩺 Treatments :-
✅ Encouraging them to drink slightly salted fluids, such as sports drinks or salted water.

✅ Having them lay down in a cool, shady, well-ventilated environment.
Immersing them in cool water, if possible.

✅ Misting them with water and blowing air across their bodies (evaporative cooling).

✅ Monitoring their breathing carefully and removing any airway blockages.

✅ Not giving any medications, including aspirin and acetaminophen.

✅ Removing any clothing that is tight or heavy.

How to help your body recover from an illness

Sickness-recovery.jpg

Drink more mineral water
To restore the water balance in tissues, a person needs water. But not just any water, but enriched water. Ideally, enriched with magnesium and mineral salts.

Cook protein meals.
White blood cells, the main defenders of our immune system, are made up of proteins. The best and easiest way is to incorporate meals rich in quality protein into your menu. Quality farm meats, fish, and eggs are high in protein and essential micronutrients like iron.

Make up for vitamin gaps.
Iron, zinc, magnesium, calcium, B vitamins and vitamin D are all elements that start to be dramatically lacking if you've recently been sick.

Take care of your microbiota.
Eat fermented foods. These include kefir, farm cheese, sauerkraut, pickles and tomatoes. These contain prebiotics and probiotics, which enrich the gut microflora and benefit all stages of digestion.

Why don't people wake up from their own snoring?

Snoring.jpg

Since even in sleep the brain analyzes sounds, and the sleeper wakes up if the sound is unexpected or has a signal meaning (call, name calling). A person may also be awakened by the absence of a sound, for example, if a night train, which constantly passes by his house at the same time, for some reason did not pass by.

At the same time, the loud but familiar noise does not bother the person, which is known to anyone who has fallen asleep in the subway. Here, too, the snorer's brain does not perceive snoring as an unexpected sound.

Liver.jpg

Fatty liver disease is when excess fat accumulates in the liver. This can happen due to heavy alcohol use. In this case

Fatty liver can progress through four stages:

Simple fatty liver. There's a buildup of excess fat in the liver. Simple fatty liver is largely harmless if it doesn't progress.

Steatohepatitis. In addition to excess fat, there's also inflammation in the liver.

Fibrosis :- Persistent inflammation in the liver has now caused scarring. However, the liver can still generally function normally.

Cirrhosis. Scarring of the liver has become widespread, impairing the liver's ability to function. This is the most severe stage and is irreversible.

Treatment:- The primary treatment for fatty liver disease is to make lifestyle changes that promote liver health. It's possible for the damage caused by fatty liver disease to be reversed when it's treated in its early stages.

More than 90% of diseases are related to failure to properly cleanse the intestines

Many people do not even realize that about 90% of diseases and weight problems are related to contamination of the intestines.

After all, this organ plays a very important role in our body: it is responsible for removing all the waste, toxins and waste products that the body no longer needs, but if for some reason they remain, it can cause serious health problems.

Toxins that accumulate in the intestines due to constipation go to the liver, and then through the blood spread throughout the body, causing serious skin problems, as well as the development of various chronic diseases.

How to Do a Natural Colon Cleanse at Home?
- Drinking plenty of water 💧
- saltwater flush 🧂
- High-fiber diet 🥖
- Herbal teas 🍵.

Why do women live longer?

Woman-lives-longer.jpg

Yes, this is a statistically proven fact:
Women's average life expectancy is 74 years and 2 months, men's is 69 years and 8 months.

But still, why?

The main reason is genes🧬
Even male embryos die more often than female embryos.

The X chromosomes (of which women have two and men have one) are much larger and contain more vital genes. The Y chromosomes (which only males have) have fewer of these genes.

Therefore, the occurrence of problems in the X-chromosome has greater consequences for men than for women☝🏻.

After all, they have a "spare" X chromosome. It is this reserve that gives women that very advantage.

Besides, we should not forget about peculiarities of men's lifestyle and occupation.

Check your cholesterol levels regularly

Cholesterol.jpg

Cholesterol is necessary for building body cells and other important processes, but when there is too much, it is dangerous. Cholesterol plaques can begin to form on the walls of arteries, which in turn leads to atherosclerosis.

To check your cholesterol levels, take a test once a year. Watch for "bad" (LDL) and "good" (HDL) cholesterol. The former should be no more than 2.6 mmol/L (100 mg/dL), and the latter no less than 1 mmol/L (40 mg/dL).

🐌 Schistosomiasis

Schistomosiasis.jpg

A disease caused by infection with freshwater parasitic worms in certain tropical and subtropical countries.

The parasite can be found in sub-Saharan Africa, the Middle East, Southeast Asia and the Caribbean. The fresh water becomes contaminated from infected animal or human urine or faeces. The parasites penetrate human skin to enter the bloodstream and migrate to the liver, intestines and other organs.

Treatment :- Praziquantel, a prescription medication, is taken for 1-2 days to treat infections caused by all schistosome species.

Diagnosis:- it is diagnosed through the detection of parasite eggs in stool or urine specimens. Antibodies and/or antigens detected in blood or urine samples are also indications of infection.

For urogenital schistosomiasis, a filtration technique using nylon, paper or polycarbonate filters is the standard diagnostic technique. Children with S. haematobium almost always have microscopic blood in their urine which can be detected by chemical reagent strips.

WHY are there many drugs against bacterial infections and few against viral ones?

Virus.jpg

A bacterium is an integral single-celled organism which biochemistry is quite different from that of humans. Therefore, it is possible to find drugs that block the enzymes vital for bacteria or destroy their cell wall, while being harmless or minimally toxic for humans.

A virus, on the other hand, is much simpler, and after infecting the target cell, it has nothing of its own except for the genome. Genome duplication and synthesis of viral proteins are performed by the same molecular mechanisms of the infected cell that ensure the vital activity of healthy cells.

What is Pacemaker?

Pace-maker.jpg

A pacemaker is a small device that's placed under the skin in your chest to help control your heartbeat. It's used to help your heart beat more regularly if you have an irregular heartbeat (arrhythmia), particularly a slow one. Implanting a pacemaker in your chest requires a surgical procedure.
Types of pacemakers-
Depending on your condition, you might have one of the following types of pacemakers.
Single chamber pacemaker.- This type usually carries electrical impulses to the right ventricle of your heart.
Dual chamber pacemaker- This type carries electrical impulses to the right ventricle and the right atrium of your heart to help control the timing of contractions between the two chambers.
Biventricular pacemaker- Biventricular pacing, also called cardiac resynchronization therapy, is for people with heart failure with abnormal electrical systems. This type of pacemaker stimulates the lower chambers of the heart (the right and left ventricles) to make the heart beat more efficiently.

Symptoms that would indicate a blood clot

Blood clots most often form in the lower extremities. One of the most common signs of thrombosis is swelling of the legs.

Also, itching in the legs may increase and the skin takes on a red or blue hue.

Further, the itching develops into pain, and if the clot is in the lower leg area, the person may have cramps.

If there is difficulty breathing, severe coughing, chest pain, and dizziness, it is worth seeking medical attention, as this is an indication that the clot has moved from the legs to the lungs.

Be alert at all times.
