Create and promote local events in your community/town/city/state.
Creating a New Event
Log in to your account
Navigate to login (https://smallbizlg.com/forum/index.php?action=login) and sign in with your credentials.
Go to https://smallbizlg.com/nigeria and click your location, choose your state, area, town or city section
Look for the "Create Event" or "Add Event" button, usually located at the top of the events page.
Choose the location
Select the town or city where your event will take place. This determines where your event will be listed.
Enter event details
Fill out the required information about your event, including:
Event name
Event category (e.g., Community, Sports, Arts, Education)
Date and time
Venue location and address
Contact information for organizers
Whether the event is free or paid (and ticket information if applicable)
Add a description and images
Write a detailed description of your event and upload images like posters, flyers, or photos from previous similar events.
Set event capacity and registration options
Specify if there's a limit to how many people can attend and whether pre-registration is required.
Review and publish
Double-check all information for accuracy and click "Publish" to make your event visible in the community.
Managing Your Events
Updating event details
Edit your event information if any details change, such as time, location, or capacity.
Tracking RSVPs and attendees
Monitor who has expressed interest in attending and manage your guest list.
Communicating with attendees
Send updates or important information to registered attendees through the platform.
Canceling or rescheduling
If needed, you can cancel or reschedule your event and notify all registered attendees.
Tips for Successful Community Events
Create a compelling event title and description that clearly communicates what attendees can expect.
Include all important details such as exact location, time, duration, and any requirements (e.g., what to bring).
Upload high-quality images that represent your event well.
Post your event at least 2-3 weeks in advance to give community members time to plan.
Promote your event by sharing it on your personal feed and in relevant community discussions.
After the event, consider posting photos and a thank-you message to attendees to build community engagement.
