SENATOR BUHARI ASSURES NIGERIA OF BETTER PERFORMANCE IN TINUBU'S GOVERNMENT



During 9th Senate holds Valedictory Session.

Senator Buhari AbdulFatai yesterday assured Nigerians that the Government of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will perform greatly because almost all those piloting the affairs of the nation now are former Senators who had garnered legislative experience while they were in National Assembly.

He stated this in his speech during the Valedictory session held yesterday at the Senate Chambers. Senator Buhari recalled that more than Fifteen Senators began their National Assembly journey from House of Representatives before becoming Senators including himself and the President of the Senator, Dr. Ahmed Lawan.

Senator Buhari stated that National Assembly is an institution where continuous relationship can be maintained and most of our elected Leaders in Nigeria today were present or one time members of Nigerian Senate. "Mr President, Distinguished colleagues in America where we are trying to copy their democracy, if you watch their party primaries, it is from the Senate most of their President emerge from. In the next dispensation, government would be very very successful God's willing because the President, Vice-President, SGF, First Lady, Party Chairman and his Vice are all Senators. You can see the foundation of experience " He affirmed.

The curtain of 9th Senate was drawn yesterday while the inauguration of 10th National Assembly is slated for Tuesday, June 13th, 2023.
