'You single- handedly sunk 13 boreholes in Otu', Oniro of Otu congratulates Prof Akande at 60

The Oniro of Otuland, Oba Sunday Oyetunde Adepoju Ayilola 111,Gbadewolu 1, has congratulated former Chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission(NCC), Prof Adeolu Akande, on his 60th birthday.

Oba Adepoju in the statement described Prof Akande as a worthy son of Otu whose contribution  to the development of Otu,Oke Ogun and Oyo State in general cannot be quantitied and is a challenge to other politicians and public officials in the country to emulate.

Oba Adepoju noted that Professor Akande has devoted his resources and time to the development of Otu and  Oke Ogun in  tremendous ways that should be celebrated by all and sundry.

"Your contributions to the development of education, infrastructure development, and social well-being of the people of Otu have been legendary. You have committed yourself to the uplifting of our people irrespective of their religious backgrounds and political affiliations. You are a true son of the soil.

I recall how you single-handedly sunk 13 boreholes across the breath and length of Otuland and facilitated the provision of ICT centres for all  the three secondary schools in the land,among other contributions to the town,apart from the support for countless number of our children in tertiary institutions. We wish you a long life and good health and many more years of service to our people."the Kabiyesi prayed.
