Connect Nano and Micro Businesses to the Internet

Connect Nano and Micro Businesses/Services in Cities, Towns and Villages in Nigeria on Internet ;
Nano and micro businesses are the smallest units of enterprises, usually run by a single individual or a very small number of people (often family-based). They operate with very little capital, low assets, and minimal infrastructure, mostly in the informal economy. Examples include:
• Street vendors, shops, stores
• Tailors, shoemakers, or mechanics working in small shops
• Petty traders in local markets
• Barbers, food hawkers, and artisans
They are usually cash-based, survival-driven businesses that provide livelihoods for millions, in cities, towns and villages.
The Goal of Nano and Micro Businesses
• Income generation: To sustain daily livelihood for the owner and family.
• Self-employment: Reduce dependency on government jobs or formal employment.
• Grassroots economic activity: Provide basic goods and services within local communities.
• Pathway to growth:  Nano and Micro businesses Serve as a stepping stone to small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) when given support.
1. These businesses are highly vulnerable to shocks (economic downturns, inflation, pandemics, etc.)
2. Since many nano and micro entrepreneurs live on daily income, regular sales ensure they can keep feeding their families and avoid falling deeper into poverty.
3.Nano and micro businesses provide essential goods/services at the grassroots level. Supporting them keeps local economies alive.
4.  Many of them lack access to formal loans or banking. Supports are often the only way they can have regular income..
5. Even though small, they collectively employ millions. Sustaining them helps reduce unemployment and social unrest.
